Phonotropic 003
Listens to the room, forges percussion out of what it hears, and sequences it back at you.
Phonotropic takes live ambient sound, carves percussive one-shots out of it, classifies them, and loads them into a sequencer. Samples drift as you play and so do the patterns, so a kit made from a kitchen slowly becomes a different kit made from the same kitchen.
Tempo comes from tapping only. There is no BPM field, because the point is to lock to whatever is already happening in the room.
